Katy Ward (born 5 January 1984)[1] is an English female football midfielder. She currently plays for Coventry City Ladies.

Club career

Ward played for Wolves Ladies and Aston Villa Ladies[2] before joining Birmingham City Ladies.[3] In March 2004, she suffered torn ankle ligaments, a broken fibula and a cracked tibula early in Birmingham's FA Women's Cup semi-final defeat to Charlton Athletic Ladies.[4] She spent the 2005-06 season with Bristol Academy before re-joining Birmingham City Ladies in the 2006 close season.[5] She left to join Blackburn Rovers Ladies in July 2009[2][6] and scored on the opening day of the 2009-10 season as Doncaster Rovers Belles drew 1-1 at home to Blackburn Rovers Ladies.[7]

International career

Ward has represented England at Under-16, 18 and 19 levels.[3]

Personal life

Ward works as a teacher at Kings Heath Boys School in Birmingham.[3]
